This policy explains what BuzzAhh collects, why, and your choices. We keep it simple — and we don't sell your personal information.

Payments stay off BuzzAhh. Because money moves directly between members (Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, cash), we don't collect or store your payment card or bank details.

1Who we are

2Information we collect

Account info you give us: name, email, password (stored encrypted), and optionally your phone number, neighborhood/city, bio, and profile photo.
Content you create: listings, photos, messages, community posts, offers, and reports.
Payment handles you choose to display (e.g., your Venmo/Zelle/PayPal username) so buyers can pay you directly. We don't process these payments.
Usage & device data: basic log data such as IP address, browser type, and how you interact with the Service, to keep it working and secure.
Local storage / cookies: to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and attribute referrals.

3How we use your information

To run the marketplace — show listings, enable messaging, and connect neighbors.
To send you email and SMS alerts (e.g., a new message or a hold request) and account notices. You control notification preferences in your profile.
For safety, moderation, and preventing fraud and abuse.
To operate the founding-member and referral programs.
To improve the Service and comply with the law.

4What's public

BuzzAhh is a community marketplace, so some information is public by design: your profile (name, handle, photo, ratings), your active listings, and your posts in "the Buzz." Don't post anything you wouldn't want neighbors to see. Your email, phone, and password are never shown publicly.

5How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With other members, as part of using the Service (your public profile/listings/posts, and messages with people you contact).
With service providers who help us operate, under confidentiality obligations — for example Resend (transactional email) and Twilio (SMS alerts).
When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of BuzzAhh and its members.

6Communications

We send transactional messages (like message and hold alerts) so the marketplace works. You can adjust email/SMS preferences in your profile settings; some essential account notices can't be turned off while you have an account.

7Data retention & your choices

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can edit your profile, remove listings, and request account deletion by emailing support@buzzahh.com.

8Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information (for example, passwords are stored hashed and tokens are used for sessions). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9Children

BuzzAhh is for adults. It isn't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from minors.

10Changes

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
